Perform at Now Northwich!

Cheshire Dance, the producers of Now Northwich, are looking for dancers (age 18 and over) from all backgrounds and with all levels of dance experience, to perform at this year’s Now Northwich festival on Saturday 3 May 2025.

We are looking for Community Dancers to perform in UNITY, a production created by Gorilla Circus, who are known for their spectacular outdoor shows, which merge theatre, circus and community stories.

A powerful act of protest, a call for change, and a dream for the future, UNITY is the showstopper outdoor performance piece at this year’s Now Northwich festival and will showcase wire-walking, dance trapeze, and hair-hanging hydraulics, creating a visual feast for audiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to perform alongside the professional company from Gorilla Circus and to take part and enjoy dance, meet new people and create some memories that will last a lifetime!

As a Community Dancer, you will work closely with choreographer Bettina Carpi, to create, rehearse and perform in a community dance piece which will be integrated and performed as part of UNITY on festival day, Saturday 3 May 2025.

No previous performance experience is necessary, everyone (age 18 and over) is welcome to participate. 

To be part of the community dance cast and perform in UNITY, you must be able to commit to all of the following dates in 2025:

Rehearsal dates at Cheshire Dance Studio, Winsford

Saturday 29 March

Sunday 6 April

Saturday 12 April

Saturday 26 April

Sunday 27 April

Dress & technical rehearsal dates:
On-site in Northwich on Friday 2 May, times TBC
